We're here to help you make the most of AquaLedger
Yes! AquaLedger is 100% offline-first. All your catches, photos, and notes are stored locally on your device. No internet required except for weather data and maps.
Go to Settings → Backup & Restore → Create Backup. The backup file (.db) is saved to your device storage. Copy it to cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox) for safekeeping.
Settings → Backup & Restore → Restore Backup → Select your .db backup file. This will replace all current data, so create a backup first if needed.
1) Create a backup on old phone, 2) Transfer the .db file to new phone via cloud/USB, 3) Install AquaLedger on new phone, 4) Restore the backup. Done!
Make sure Location permission is granted and GPS is enabled. Go outside for better signal. GPS accuracy improves after a few seconds. Check Settings → Location → High Accuracy mode.
Weather data requires internet connection. Check your WiFi/mobile data. If it still fails, the weather API might be temporarily down—try again in a few minutes.
Grant Camera permission in Settings → Apps → AquaLedger → Permissions. Make sure another app isn't using the camera. Restart the app if camera preview is black.
Photos/videos are stored on your device. Export old entries to your gallery, then delete from app. Or create a backup and start fresh. Check Settings → Storage for details.
Ads keep AquaLedger free. Interstitials appear before backups, exports, and sharing (max 1 per action). Banner ads are static and non-intrusive.
Grant Microphone permission in Settings → Apps → AquaLedger → Permissions. Make sure no other app is using the mic. Check device volume and try recording a test note.
Open a catch entry → Tap Share icon → Choose sharing method (social media, messaging, email). You can share as an image with text or export full details.
Settings → Advanced → Clear All Data. WARNING: This is permanent and cannot be undone unless you have a backup. Create a backup first as a safety measure.
